Abstrak

Water is the source of life for living things. About 50 to 70% of our body mass consists of water, including skin, body tissues, cells, and all organs. The benefit of drinking water is to avoid dehydration. However, a polluted environment greatly affects the production of water in the environment. One of them is Indonesia, which has been claimed by UNICEF and WHO to have polluted water in almost all areas. The presence of bottled water is helpful in meeting the need for healthy and clean drinking water. According to data from the POM office, there are around 376 brands of bottled water circulating in Indonesia. There are 270 AMDK companies registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and produce around 150, while around 70 companies are members of ASPADIN. With the many AMDK companies that have been built, there is fierce competition among producers. After experiencing this rapid development, beverage entrepreneurs are extra careful. This PKM aims to improve students' understanding of the importance of knowing the acidity level of a solution for the body and to improve students' skills in measuring the acidity level of a solution. It is hoped that students will be more careful in consuming solutions (drinks) so that they do not cause adverse effects on the body. This PKM activity is carried out through 3 stages, namely introduction, socialization, and evaluation stages. The enthusiasm of the participants continued during the Q&A about the tools and how to make an acidity level tool. This PKM activity was effective because the participants followed this program until it was finished to fill in the pretest and posttest questions. This community service program also succeeded in changing students' understanding of the acidity level of solutions and improving students' skills in measuring the pH of solutions.
