PENGUKURAN DAYA POROS SUATU MOTOR BENSIN DENGAN KAPASITAS DAYA KECIL

ABSTRAK
Daya poros suatu motor bakar menyatakan besar momen putar pada suatu putaran mesin tertentu tiap satuan waktu. Besar daya poros ditentukan oleh momen putar dan putaran mesin. Besarnya daya poros dapat diketahui dengan dengan melakukan pengukuran momen putar pada dinamometer dan putaran poros pada poros engkol dengan takometer system optik atau mekanik. Dalam penelitian ini telah dilakukan pengukuran daya poros dengan mengukur beban pada timbangan dinamometer terhadap putaran mesin yang memiliki kapasitas daya 5.5 HP. Pengukuran dilakukan pada putaran mesin 1000 – 2000 rpm dengan interval 250 rpm dan dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali. Analisa dilakukan pada kecenderungan perubahan beban terhadap putaran mesin dan deviasi relatif hasil percobaan. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa perubahan beban meningkat seiring dengan perubahan putaran mesin secara meningkat. Hal ini disebabkan peningkatan putaran mesin akan meningkatkan momen putar setiap waktu sehingga akan dihasilkan daya poros yang lebih besar. Sedangkan deviasi relatif maksimum yang dihasilkan sebesar 11.76%. Nilai ini masih dibawah ambang toleransi pengujian motor bensin sebesar 20%.
