LEGAL PROTECTION FOR VICTIMS RELATED TO REVENGE PORN IN DATING STYLE WITH REVENGE MOTIVE

Abstract

Coercion in the form of threats to disseminate sexual material in the form of images or films is known as revenge porn, and it often targets women. The offender can be a current or former romantic partner, an anonymous person, or an ex-boyfriend who is interested in reconciling. The victim suffers intangible losses due to social isolation and psychological stress as a consequence of this conduct. The protection of victims is a top priority for law enforcement. Victims' rights must be considered under the Criminal Procedure Code, which regulates the court system. Focussing on victims of revenge pornography, this study employs normative legal research by examining existing norms and many court judgements. Books, journals, and other written sources pertaining to the study's subject, title, or issues were combed through for written rules, explanations, and hypotheses. According to the research, there are various forms of revenge porn. One common form is creating intimate content without permission. Another form is hacking or stealing intimate content. A third form is using threats to manipulate or create content that looks like someone else. The goal is to force the victim to do something they don't want to. A fourth form is making offensive comments or posts. The fifth form is belittling the victim in an effort to ruin their reputation.
