The Role Of Management Information Systems In Improving Company Efficiency: A Literature Review
Abstract
Abstrak, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran Sistem Informasi Manajemen (SIM) dalam meningkatkan efisiensi perusahaan melalui pendekatan tinjauan literatur sistematis. Permasalahan penelitian berfokus pada bagaimana implementasi SIM mampu mendukung efisiensi operasional, kualitas pengambilan keputusan, dan daya saing organisasi di era digital. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menganalisis dua jurnal ilmiah utama, yaitu satu jurnal internasional terindeks Scopus Q2 dan satu jurnal nasional terindeks Sinta 1 yang diterbitkan pada periode 2021–2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi SIM memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap pengurangan biaya operasional, percepatan alur informasi, peningkatan akurasi data, serta peningkatan produktivitas perusahaan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung keberhasilan implementasi SIM, seperti dukungan manajemen puncak, pelatihan sumber daya manusia, dan kesesuaian sistem dengan kebutuhan organisasi. Analisis SWOT turut dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman dalam penerapan SIM di perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa SIM telah menjadi kebutuhan strategis perusahaan dalam mencapai efisiensi dan keunggulan kompetitif yang berkelanjutan di tengah lingkungan bisnis yang semakin dinamis.
