             PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI PENDAFTARAN SISWA BARU BERBASIS WEB MENGGUNAKAN METODE WATERFALL (STUDI KASUS: MTS WALI SONGO ASY-SYIRBAANY. Proses penerimaan siswa baru di MTS Wali Songo Asy-Syirbaany saat ini masih dilakukan secara manua dari siswa data kesekolah, mengisi formulir secara manual sampai dengan panitia menyimpan data siswa masih secara manual, sehingga proses pendaftaran memakan waktu lama, sering terjadi kesalahan entri data, dan akses informasi menjadi terbatas. Penelitian ini merancang sistem informasi pendaftaran siswa baru berbasis web untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model waterfall, yang mencakup tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Sistem yang dibangun memungkinkan calon siswa mendaftar secara online kapan saja dan memudahkan pengelolaan data pendaftaran secara terpusat di pihak sekolah. Implementasi aplikasi web ini menyederhanakan penyimpanan dan pengambilan data, sehingga mengurangi beban kerja administratif dan meningkatkan akurasi.  Hasil pengujian menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi dan keandalan dalam proses pendaftaran. Kesimpulan utama penelitian ini adalah bahwa sistem berbasis web ini berhasil mempercepat proses penerimaan siswa baru dan mengurangi kesalahan data. Saran yang diajukan antara lain penerapan sistem oleh MTS Wali Songo Asy Syirbaany serta pengembangan fitur tambahan, seperti integrasi pembayaran online dan penyempurnaan antarmuka pengguna.

ABSTRACT

          DESIGN OF A WEB-BASED NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION INFORMATION SYSTEM USING THE WATERFALL METHOD (CASE STUDY: MTS WALI SONGO ASY-SYIRBAANY).The process of accepting new students at MTS Wali Songo Asy Syirbaany is currently still done manually from student data to school, filling out forms manually until the committee saves student data manually, so the registration process takes a long time, often occurs data entry errors, and access to information is limited. This study designs a web-based new student registration information system to overcome these problems. The development method used is the waterfall model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system built allows prospective students to register online at any time and facilitates centralized registration data management at the school.The implemented web application streamlines data storage and retrieval, reducing the administrative workload and improving accuracy. Testing of the system shows enhanced efficiency and reliability in the registration workflow. The main conclusion is that the web-based system significantly accelerates the admission process and minimizes errors and inefficiencies. It is recommended that MTS Wali Songo Asy Syirbaany adopt this system and consider future enhancements such as integrating online payment and refining the user interface for improved usability.
