Author Guidelines

KOMMAS: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat welcomes articles documenting the results of community service activities focused on the application of information and communication technology (ICT). Authors are expected to follow these guidelines before submitting their manuscripts:

  1. Article Format
  • Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian.
  • The article length should be between 4,000–7,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.
  • Use Times New Roman, font size 11 pt, with 1 line spacing on A4-sized paper with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
  • The manuscript should be organized in the following structure:
    1. Title
    2. Authors’ names and affiliations
    3. Abstract (150–250 words) and keywords (3–5 keywords)
    4. Introduction
    5. Methods
    6. Results
    7. Discussion
    8. Conclusion and Recommendations
    9. Acknowledgments (if necessary)
    10. References

 

  1. General Requirements
  • Manuscripts must be original and not previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
  • Articles should document ICT-based community service activities with direct benefits to the community and include an analysis of the results.
  • Quantitative or qualitative data must support the findings presented.

 

  1. Submission and Review Process
  • Manuscripts should be submitted through the online journal system at: https://openjournal.unpam.ac.id/index.php/kommas/index
  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors must ensure that no identifying information is included in the manuscript to maintain confidentiality during the review.
  • The review process typically takes 2–4 weeks.

 

  1. References and Citations
  • References should follow the APA (American Psychological Association) Style.
  • All cited sources must be relevant and recent (published within the last 10 years).
  • A minimum of 10 references is recommended, with at least 60% sourced from scientific journals.
  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure accurate citation formatting.

 

  1. Figures and Tables
  • Figures and tables must be clearly labeled, numbered, and accompanied by captions.
  • Images should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi to ensure quality.
  • Sources for tables and figures, if taken from other works, must be properly cited.

 

  1. Plagiarism Policy
  • All submitted manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software.

 

  1. Copyright and Licensing
  • Accepted articles will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This allows authors to retain copyright while granting the public the right to share, use, and adapt the work with proper attribution.9. Contact Information
