Jurnal Al-Maqrizi: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah dan Studi Islam is fully committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. As part of this commitment, the journal implements a zero-tolerance policy against plagiarism.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is defined as the act of presenting someone else's work, ideas, data, or words as one's own without proper attribution. This includes, but is not limited to, copying text, paraphrasing without citation, and reproducing figures or tables from other sources without obtaining the necessary permissions and providing appropriate credit.
Authors' Responsibilities
Authors are required to ensure that their submitted manuscripts are entirely original works. When authors incorporate the work or words of others, they must properly cite or quote the source in accordance with the journal's referencing guidelines (Mendeley, APA style).
Each manuscript submitted to Jurnal Al-Maqrizi must:

Plagiarism Screening Process
To safeguard against academic misconduct, every manuscript received by Jurnal Al-Maqrizi undergoes an initial screening process using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. Plagiarism checks can be conducted through the official Turnitin website at the following address:

Jurnal Al-Maqrizi sets a maximum similarity index tolerance of 40%. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 40% will not be processed further and will be returned to the authors for revision.
Consequences of Plagiarism
If any manuscript is found to contain significant issues related to quotation and/or plagiarism, the manuscript will be automatically rejected. The journal strictly adheres to its ethical policies, and authors are expected to comply with all obligations to maintain the quality and credibility of scholarly publications.
