Desain dan Implementasi Alat Uji Kebocoran Botol PET Berbasis Detektor Tekanan Diferensial

Abstract

The increase in the human population is directly proportional to the consumption of various types of food and beverages which will also be followed by an increase in the use of plastic packaging which one example is the use of PET bottles for beverage packaging. Increased use of plastic bottles as beverage packaging has created a need for bottle packaging leak detectors before the product reaches consumers. The tool will be integrated in the production process so that if there is a leak in the bottle packaging it will not interfere with the next production process. Therefore an accurate tool is needed to detect leaks using MPX 5100DP pressure difference sensor so that the detection process will be more accurate, faster and integrated with microcontrollers and pneumatics.

Penambahan populasi manusia berbanding lurus dengan konsumsi berbagai jenis makanan dan minuman yang akan diikuti pula dengan peningkatan penggunaan kemasan plastik yang menyertainnya salah satu contohnya ialah penggunaan botol PET untuk kemasan minuman. Peningkatan penggunaan botol plastik sebagai kemasan minuman telah menciptakan kebutuhan akan alat pendeteksi kebocoran kemasan botol sebelum produk sampai ke konsumen. Alat tersebut akan terintegrasi pada proses produksi sehingga jika terdapat kebocoran pada kemasan botol tidak akan menggangu proses produksi selanjutnya. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan alat yang akurat untuk mendeteksi kebocoran dengan menggunakan sensor perbedaan tekanan MPX 5100DP sehingga proses pendeteksian tersebut akan lebih akurat, cepat dan terintegrasi dengan mikrokontroler dan pneumatik.
