Journal History
Pamulang Law Review (PalRev) was established in 2018 by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pamulang, Indonesia, as a scholarly platform dedicated to the development and dissemination of legal research and critical legal studies. Since its inception, the journal has served as a forum for academics, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, and students to contribute original research, conceptual analyses, and scholarly discussions addressing contemporary legal issues at the national, regional, and international levels.
The inaugural issue of Pamulang Law Review was published in 2018 with the objective of promoting legal scholarship and strengthening academic discourse within various fields of law. Over the years, the journal has continuously improved its editorial management, peer-review procedures, publication quality, and digital accessibility in accordance with international scholarly publishing standards.
Pamulang Law Review is published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pamulang, and adopts a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published articles. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary, comparative, normative, and empirical legal research covering a broad range of legal disciplines, including constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law, civil law, business law, international law, Islamic law, customary law, labor law, agrarian law, and other contemporary legal issues.
As part of its commitment to academic excellence, Pamulang Law Review has expanded its visibility through national and international indexing services and continues to enhance its publication standards. The journal is currently accredited at SINTA 4 by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, reflecting its contribution to the advancement of legal scholarship and scientific publication quality.
Beginning with Volume 9, Issue 1 (2026), Pamulang Law Review adopts English as the primary language of publication to strengthen international visibility, increase global scholarly engagement, and support the journal’s long-term internationalization strategy. The journal continues to publish two issues annually, released in August and November, while maintaining its commitment to open access, academic integrity, and high-quality legal research.
