Abstract

Work readiness has become an increasingly important issue for final-year students as labor market demands continue to shift in the digital era. This study examines the effects of soft skills, digital literacy, and adversity quotient on work readiness among final-year students in Magelang City. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 384 respondents selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 27. The results show that soft skills, digital literacy, and adversity quotient each have a positive and significant effect on work readiness. Among these variables, adversity quotient shows the strongest effect, indicating that students’ resilience in facing challenges plays a particularly important role in preparing them for the transition from higher education to the workplace. This study contributes to the work readiness literature by integrating non-cognitive and digital competencies within the framework of Human Capital Theory and by providing evidence from final-year students in a regional higher education context. The findings suggest that strengthening communication abilities, digital competence, and resilience is essential for improving graduate work readiness.
